Yay! It’s going to be Christmas very soon! If you’re on the lookout for last minute gift ideas, I might just have the thing for you. All you need to make a christmassy light for your window sill is paper and tape. If you want to go fancy you can use transparent paper and pretty masking tape, but good old scotch tape and baking or sandwich paper will do the trick just fine. To make it an even nicer gift you can put some candy in with your LED candle. Stick some ribbon on it, instant Christmas spirit!
– transparent paper A 4
– masking tape
– LED candle
Place your A 4 paper in landscape. Fold down ca. 6 cm from the top.
Now fold the sides to the middle, so they overlap one or two centimeters.
Tape it down. Next fold 6 cm up from the bottom.
Open up what is going to be the base of your paper bag and fold down the sides.
Fold up part of the top and down part of the bottom so they overlap a good centimeter.
I used two stripes of masking tape to make it stick together well.
Now all you have to do is to unfold your bag, put in an LED candle, wait for the sun to go down. Merry Christmas!
(It’s a pity, you can’t see the amazing flickering of this kind of LED candles, it makes them look so much like a real candle. I just love them!)
